AM Income Tax is the product of one woman's entrepreneurial spirit and love for assisting family members and co-workers with the preparation of their individual income tax. Over the years it has grown into a family owned business that has experience in the preparation of all types of tax returns with one constant, a "Family style" customer service approach.
Myrtle Page/Murphy -Founder
Myrtle, always the entrepreneur at heart started preparing taxes as another way to earn extra money. She began with preparing family members and co-workers taxes and saw her clientele grow via word of mouth. Myrtle would affectionately become known as Myrtle, "The Tax Lady" to all her clients. In spite of losing her eyesight she would continue to prepare the lengthy handwritten tax returns with the help of her children, nephews and nieces.
Myrtle utilized their eyesight and hands as not only a way to keep her small business going but a way of passing on the money earning trade to the family members. Despite of what would appear to be a business disability, her business continued to thrive as new and old clients remained impressed with her infallible tax knowledge. At the time of her passing it is believed she had prepared or participated in preparation of Thousands of returns and had an active client list of over a 100 clients.
This would foster a love for taxes and inspire him to become a certified preparer while acquiring a Business Administration degree and his Jurist Doctorate. At Myrtles passing, Kraig chose to continue her dream of preparing taxes with "Family Style" customer service. Thus, AM Income Tax with the AM standing for "AUNT MYRTLE" was born. He has been continuing the family legacy for over 30 years.

In passing the knowledge of tax preparation Myrtle hoped it would stick with on of her family members and they would continue what she had built. Her nephew, Kraig became that family member. He began assisting her with preparing taxes at age 13.
